Songkran Festival: The Thai New Year Festival Songkran is going on all day from 10 am until 6 pm on Hollywood Boulevard in Thai Town. Take the Metro to the Hollywood and Western Metro stop, and the festival stretches all the way to Normandie. You can catch the parade, food, thai boxing and more. MUSIC: The Los Angeles Philharmonic presents Mussorgksy’s Pictures at an Exhibition, conducted by David Robertson. The concert begins tonight at 8 pm at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Tickets start at $60 and can be purchased here.

FILM: Tonight Filmforum presents New York artist Leighton Pierce’s “Familial Time Defamiliarized” for one of two screenings in Los Angeles. Held at the Spielberg Theatre at the Egyptian, the screening encourages audiences to experience the film beyond the average film experience. General admission tickets are $10, $6 for students and seniors and are available in advance online. The show starts at 7:30 pm, and the theatre is located at 6712 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
